About Us
The firm Pou de Avilés was founded in 1947 by the Hon. Dr. D. José María Pou de Avilés, Professor of Civil Law at the University of Barcelona, member of the Real Academia de Doctores, full member of the Academia de Jurisprudencia y Legislación de Cataluña, member of the Comisión Compiladora del Derecho civil de Cataluña, awarded with the Cruz de Sant Raimon de Peñafort and Civil Order of Alfonso X, el Sabio and lawyer of Barcelona and Madrid Bar Association.
From the begining, the firm has been characterized by rigor and professionalism in all areas of private and administrative law, and today it is one of the outstanding reference firms in Catalonia in these fields, following the steps and work's philosophy of its founder.
After the death of its founder in 2011, his colleagues have continued their professional activity following the same principles and pursuing the objectives that he set, that is, to serve the customer.
Since 2013 the firm has a permanent office in Tarragona.
